Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by! Who am I? Where do I start? My name is Monica and I am from Los Angeles, California. At present, I live in Merida, Mexico. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I am living my dream.

How did a humble Office Manager with an Art History degree end up living as a working artist in the Yucatan? Well…. after months and months of online searching and taking Google Street View drives in the Yucatan, I was ready to take my micro budget and look at some of the properties I found.

In 2017, I came down with high hopes and not much of a plan. I fell in love at first sight with an amazing villa I found in the small town of Hocaba, one hour outside Merida. I decided I simply had to have it. Initially, my plan was to do whatever remodeling I could afford to prepare the home to rent some rooms to tourists. The reality is, by the time my home was ready for business, my art career had taken off!

And here I am today.
